Help homeless pets with $3 Shelter Challenge

Join Mary Esparza of the Times Herald Record in her $3 Shelter Challenge to help the Middletown Humane Society and other local shelters.

$3 Challenge - Big

My challenge to readers is to pick one (or more) local animal organization(s) from the list below, put three singles in an envelope (checks are nice, too), address it, stamp it and mail it. That’s it. Just $3.

In return, I will thank you in print in a follow-up column in June. (Shelters will update me on who sent in $3 donations. If you don’t want your name and town in print, send your donation anonymously.)

Bring this page to your work, school or club with a box of envelopes to make it easier for people to dig down deep in their pockets. (I guilt-tripped every employee at my other job to donate this way last year; and I’m doing it again.)

Pull up this column on recordonline.com and share it on social media. Spread the word. Let’s help our shelter pets $3 at a time.
